Default Power Box New Products

Dear All,

I would like to introduce to you two new PowerBox Systems products.
New PowerBox switch to take 20 amp of current without failure. This would be a great application for 50-100cc plane that are using single unregulated A123 battery or regulated batteries.

This switch has a multiplex input with heavy duty wire and two outputs. It has a light and a multiplex charge jack. The contacts are rated for 20 amps! This is modified original power switch that power box had. They have sold 15,000 of the original one without a single failure. This one is even superior in performance!

Also the New PowerBox Champion that I have been doing some testing on the prototype for sometime without a glitch. I just received the production model at the Joe Nall and it is off the hook.

This unit has built-in RRS (Redundant Receiver System) along with 40 amp regulator just like their top of the line Royal. Everything else is the same as the old SC-12 or PB Champion.

Duralite Flight Systems have these in stock and can help you if you are interested in purchasing. I would be happy to help you with any questions.

I just would like to mention of an email I just received and how RRS saved a very expensive plane. Without mentioning the brand of the receiver, a customer of ours had several successful flights on his plane with RRS on board. He never observed that RRS switched until it did happen one time. He then decided to see why the receivers switched in the flight and if there was anything wrong with the other receiver so he un-plugged the receiver that RRS was running on and the other receiver did not respond. It had failed! 30 minutes later it worked! Weird! Later we found out that the receiver was sensitive to temperature and ceased working when the internal temp reached around 45 C! A flaw in the design!

The RRS is the only fully redundant system in the market and I do recommend this technology.

Please make sure to ask any questions you may have.

Regards,
Reza Gholamipour

Powerbox products and the newer RRS systems are sweeeeeeeeeeet. Gerhard at Aircraft International carries a huge line of the newest PB products and was able to help me decide on exactly what I needed for my application! I coudn't be happier with my Royal!

Yes, it would. You can adjust it to 7v to by pass the regulator for A123 batteries.
One other difference of the new champion and older version is that the voltage can be regulated to either 5.9 or 7v so in case of the A123 you can either regulate the output to 5.9 or just straight output of the battery if you set the voltage to 7v.

Reza,
Sorry I didn't get to see you at the Nall.
I converted my 50% 260 with a PB Royal over to 2.4 with two 9000 receivers and I am very pleased with the results. Just like on 72 no switches in flight but good to know its there if I need it.
I will see you somewhere... and thanks again for all your help.

Absolutely! Same as the Champion. One thing stays the same, you need to keep track of the mah spent with those batteries.

Hi Mike,

Glad you are having a fun time with your PB. I wanted to come down to the 3D site but couldn't really afford walking one hour round trip. I was busy helping Quique, PowerBox and HorizonHobby. It was two intense long days for me but was worth it

I received two PMs with same questions. I would rather see you guys post your questions here so some might have the same questions, benefit from it.

The new champion does not show the voltage and mah spent. It only shows the RRS activity. So if your receiver has switched in air, it will show that you have had a switch or more.

Also reason it has 3 channels servo matching is that most GS planes do not need more and to keep the cost down and more affordable.

One last thing I do not know the pricing structure yet.

Please post your questions here if its possible.

Thanks guys
Reza

Vann,

All of them but the power distribution on Royal and New Champion to the receiver has been separated. So your receiver is powered with two separate regulators and servos with two other regulators. I had a video on this somewhere that we shorted a lead and every other servo kept working without a glitch. I'll find it and repost it.
