| Flyin' Around ![]() | Question. The Triton2 Instructions indicate the LION charge rate is automatically calculated at 1C (and I can't find any way to modify the LION charge rate on the charger); yet the Duralite instructions indicate the maximum charge rate through the yellow charge jack should not exceed 1 Amp. For a 4300 mah battery, the charger would charge at a rate that would be 4 x's what Duralite recommends. Does this mean I should program in a 1000mah 7.4v battery for the Triton charger to properly limit the maximum charge rate to 1 amp (even though I am charging a 4300 mah battery)? Thanks. |

| Flyin' Around ![]() | Another Question. So the new Duralite LiOn packs are 7.4v. Should the Triton be set to LiPoly (which is preset to 7.4v) rather than LiOn (which is preset to 7.2v) to get the full charge to the battery? Kind of curious. Why these Duralite LiOns are voltage rated differently than all the other LiOns around. Talked to Bob Boucher at AstroFlight yesterday and ended charging the pack on my 109 LiPoly charger at 1.0 amp. Got final charge of 8.32v on the new 4300 mah High Curent (deans plug) pack. Need to figure out the Triton cause I take that one to the field with me. Thanks for your help. Steve |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | Another difference is if you set it to Li-Ion at say 1 amp, the charge goes up slowly to reach 1 amp. I think Triton 1 was like this, maybe Triton 2 be the same. When you set the charge to Li-Po it immediately starts the charge at 1 amp. Your good! And the voltage 8.32 is normal also. |
