Trend 2 - Series of negative spikes - possibly idle miss fires which create that stroboscopic effect and looks like the the prop stands still every now and then if you stare at it.
Trend 3 - A series of arcs which are probably an engine harmonic and may allign with the lumpy idle sound that a DA170 has. Possibly related to port timing etc.
Trend 4 - A much shorter series of arcs which repeat at roughly 9 cycle intervals so maybe a (3 x 3) propeller harmonic?

I'm no expert and most of the above is just guesswork on my part.
Thanks mate now I can see them. Have to remember I'm just a dumb blackhander after all

Had a pretty good day today. Got 5 flights on the sukhoi and 2 on the badboy. Managed to do a benny and had the fuel tank come loose on the last flight. It didn't split but in slid foward and pinched the carb line resulting in a deadstick landing (that I only just got back onto the field). I cleared the fence but about 3 feet so the heart was pumping pretty hard.

Not a bad day here either.
Forecast was for strong winds & rain.
Dead calm & slightly overcast all day.
Top days flying.

That thing would be off the hook. Those motors put out some serious grunt. I've flown one in a comp-arf 2.6m yak with cans and a 29x10 and it would still rip the prop.

Just curious as to how many guys from down Hervey Bay/sunny coast area would travel to Townsville for a comp?

Rusty

I was thinking the same when John flew it.
This thing really does rip the prop.
Did they go to a 3 blade - what size ?

Mmmm 17hrs+ from Brissy, dunno but sounds like fun and if there was enough notice I'd say yes.
Zac and I would probably stay at least a week to be worthwhile the trip up.

Nice save on the Sukhoi Rusty
