I inquired about a 2.3m in the JR sceme about 12months ago and was told they are no longer available. Looks like I just found my next plane

They look great, but I'm not a big fan of having loads of exit holes. I'm not sure it's any more effective than having one exit hole per pipe and they probably generate more noise in the air. I know a lot of people have this style of cutouts on their compys and extremes, but does it really help cool the pipes? I'm using futaba faast so very conscious of managing heat.

I've been trying to decide what to do on my 3m, I have cut the pipe exits longer than is needed, I'm thinking of just cutting inlet holes behind the u/c mount with small scoops on them to direct the air up and over the pipes. I will have a floor across the fuse above the pipes to keep the air over the pipes and will probably make it so the pipes are fully enclosed in a tunnel.

I'm building very slow at the moment, partly because of time (short staffed at work so I'm having to actually do some work!) and partly because I want to build a very quiet airframe.

Vince.

hi guys,

has anyone ordered from booma-rc lately? i placed an order a couple of days ago for 2 batt packs and their charger but haven't heard a single thing since. no email confirming the order, no email saying they've been sent and the 'track order' button on their website says the order is still pending. i paid immediately via paypal so it can't be a problem with the money.

i've read somewhere some of you got your orders within a day !!

thanks, fj
