Hey Benny, my field is called SWAMPS, it's about 15 mins south from the out-skirts of Melbourne. It's a small club with about 25 members. It has a small club room, some shade and a shed. We don't have a dunny as yet but we are working on it. Not to many members turn up to fly on Sunday (about 7 max.) so no ones gunna be put out by the field being closed for the weekend. Out of the 25 members we have about 10 blokes that would be keen to lend a hand. We don't have power and running water but we have a big BBQ and a good club spirit. I've been trying to get the club involved in some sort of interclub activity to boost club attendance and membership and hosting an Imac event mite be the way to go. We have no noise or hight restriction and boast nothing but miles of flat padocks and nothing to hit but the ground. It's 1/2 a mile from a major highway with heeps of space for parking.

Hey Plater, are you at Lang Lang? if so all I can say is if it is 15 min from the out skirts of Melbourne, those skirts have moved somewhat since I lived there.

Sounds like it could be a winner!!!! I wish there was some more comps up here in NSW, I am north of Sydney but if your comp was going to get a reasonable attendance and I had the time off then I would support it 100% and do my best too make it. Like I said talk to Rick Gell or excelpoint they will be able to answer your questions better.

Field size and orientation is very important so we can flymost of the day. I went and had a fly at a Sydney field that wanted to hod an IMAC event, they had a very tight restriction on where they could fly, especially across the box and the sun was in your eyes from about 2 or 3 pm onwards. Not good when you are trying to fly end and centre manouvres.

Hobbyman , those are some very fine numbers . It will be interesting to see what my
old 100 can produce . I,m not to far off getting the new air frame so if all goes well
I hope to have it going for the first comp . If not I think the old 2.3 still remembers how
to kick ass . Its just amazing what results you can get with a ****ty little plane .

Cranbourne never used to be the outskirts, it was the half way stop on the way to Wonthaggi

Hey guys,

Do I need any special adapters to fit a dave brown spinner to a DA50?? Also do I need a jig to drill the prop and spinner? or does it come with the engine?? I'm just trying to get everything ready so once I get home I can put it all together and go practice for albury....
