And all the equipment evolving at the curent rate, That the pros will be doing things far more impressive then that!!
Great attempt Mark. Your pushing the limits. And that's what set apart the good pilots from the great pilots![]

You should see it when he pulls it off... friggan amazing! I almost jumped out of my chair at the Masters when I saw it the first time.

I have seen Leesburg do this manuver at the Masters myself.....it is a really impressive move! It looks like he just got "behind" and tried to save it. His roll rate is super-fast as well as the rest of the routine. Having seen the whole routine a couple of times I am more suprised that the wings havent folded......
Touching the ground is against the AMA rules in the States.........

It was a rule.I believe that it was rule number 9 is what everbody called it.Ama after realizing that people would do it any way ,but would also see no reason for having AMA insurance decided it would be reviewed on a memeber by member accident. In other words if somebody gets hurt and enough people say you were flying dangerous then they will not cover you.

But it was a rule indeed for a couple of months!!

Oh I know it was a rule. Some people just don't read the rule book every year. Rules change, all members should review the book every year.

Perhaps he meant IMAC rules or contest rules. If the airplane touches the ground during an IMAC Freestyle in the States, the flight ends, and is often zeroed completely, treated much like a dead-line infraction.

AMA-wise, Rule 9 is defunct... thankfully... just about the most rediculous rule they have tried to come up with yet.

I know guys. That was really a different rule.
I busted out a old August 2004 MA mag and they suggested tapeing a stick to the rudder.
Imagine that!lol.
