Haha, not this time sorry - It happened for real!

And yes from what I hear it was a bit of a handfull getting it on the ground, considering it was the first flight the guy ever had with the plane and it would have been significantly more tail heavy without the prop, spinner and hub... good job.

It was me!!!!!!!

Nothing like taking your first Giant into the air, talk about baking brownies!
and to have an engine fail....there goes another few years!

After several phone calls to all the right people (thanks Patrick) there was a new DA50, and prop, in the post!

I'd just like to take this opportunity to thank DA from the bottom of my heart, deciding to venture into Gas powered models is no easy task, especially when your earning what we call down this end of the woods, as the pacific paceo, also call the New Zealand dollar!

Is it just me or is it extremely rare to find good customer service these days, and the team from DA shine. Also a big thanks to the guys at PBGComposites.com for making it all happen.

DA all the way!

Glad you got it down in good shape. I'm glad the prop didn't go back in to the plane.

Ayrtonsenna,

I agree with you it is hard to find good customer service these days.. I dont even have a clue why that is.. Tower Hobbies has pretty good CS. I find it hard to find places will to stand behind there products and workmanship. For example. A guy today at the field had an enigne(wont mention the manufacture) but the engine was only 4 months old and it had a bad bearing. The company told him sorry we dont warranty the bearings. I will say that i have had issues with my OS engines and they have replaced them like DA replaced this guys... I am glad i went with DA after reading this post...

I dont want to sound rude here but If you lost an airplane it's not Due to the DA-50 or any Engine you could have been using!!!

Maybe due to skills???
