Did you examine the wreckage closely to see what might have happened (i.e. bad switch, battery, regulator, pickup line etc etc.). Unfortunately there are too many variables (including needle settings) for anyone in this forum to tell you what caused it to quite. If it were me I would send the motor to DA for a look-see and make darn sure you don't reuse any of the fuel or electrical components on the new airframe....I personally don't reuse anything from a crashed airframe. Also, make sure you are back at factory needle settings for the first flights on the new airframe. Good Luck, Kevin |

Theres a ton of things to make an engine quit.... Time to start trouble shooting... Engines wont run if you dont have FUEL, or SPARK. Spark is a no brainer... ITs the fuel thing that gets ya... Too much or too little and it wont run...

I saw in one of your other 6 posts about your engine quitting in a hover and it said that it was the second day flying the engine. My bet is that it needed more breaking in and that it wasn't tuned properly. Burn a couple of gallons through it before trying anymore hovering.

Or perhaps hovering at a higher altitude with a new engine. Being a new airplane, you could have had a fuel line slip off your clunk line, a battery come loose and and unplug, or perhaps ran out of fuel... On new airplanes, its usually a good idea to break in the engine a bit and put on some test flights prior to hovering down low for the first time.
