ok i will try to explain this the best i can.... i have a DA-100 that has a bit of time on her (40 gallons or so) that is now running on 1 cyclinder. now here is the catch.... at the regulator im getting 5.9 volts on the meter, chked that. next i move to the ign. mod. and they are both producing spark. now when i go to start up, 1 cylinder is running, one side is hot and one is cold, having some 2 stroke back ground, its to my under standing that these motors have reeds, if this is true, is it possible to float a valve pedal? meaning either breaking a pedal tip or completly breaking the whole thing? if this happens it usually give the same signs. does anyone have any clues as to what could be causing this issue?? |

We just had a da-150 do the same thing, the ignition wasnt bad but the little wire inside the plug cap got moved over and wasnt making contact with the plug. Randy |

ok i just went into the shop and took a look at the caps under the light, and it looks like a mangled piece of wire, and this is on both sides. my DA-50 wasnt like this, i looked like it had a spring with a flat bar in it so that when you put the cap on it would snap on..... hummmmmm what do ya'll think??
