The K&S 1060's are a good proven pipe as well. Do not know how well they work on a DA100, FlynRazrback had some on a 3W 106CS with 12" headers and was getting over 7000 rpm on a 28X10 with them and still had a decent midrange.. I am using a DA100 (well broken in) on MTW pipes with the recommended DA header length. Turns a PT 28x10 (which is a high-load prop) at 6,600 on the ground. Transition is decent and the power is great. I'm at 2,600ft ASL. It is also a fairly quiet setup... |

I do not know what is going wrong with my set up and i bought my DA-100 used. It's suppposed to have 6-7 gallons. I am going to do more testing next weekend but the transition and throtle response is good. Needle valves are set 1-3/4 on high and 1 1/2 on low. I am not impressed and i would expect 6500 RPM minimum. For comparaison, i have a new DA-100 and KS-86 canisters and PT 27x10 on my backup plane at 6100 RPM on the first tank. I fly at sea level. I now have almost 3 gallons through my 3W-106CS on 12.2" headers and K&S 1060 pipes. Still on 32:1 oil and am getting consistant 6800-6900rpm on either a PT or Mej 28X10.. To me the Mej is a little crisper throttle response in the air and pulls out of Hover with a little more authority. I have no idea what it is unloading to in the air but it sounds very "happy" . It has a nice transition still with a definite "come on the pipe" a little above half throttle. Rick |

6600 RPM cold and 6400 RPM hot today after 8 wonderful flights. I have set 10% more travel to throttle servo. I think the engine is more new than i expected and it needs more time for breakin because i still have the black oil residu under the fuse. Daniel
