Hi, Could you please provide me with the DA 50 Factory needle settings? Also a question about the throttle servo and curve. I have set my throttle at 150% travel adjustment and is very linear, when testing on the bench. However during flight is not linear at all. I know that the Walbro carb butterfly is not effective from a position onwards, but how I can find this position? My peak RPM is around 7300 and at the middle of throttle stick I get 6900. Well I tried to reduce the travel adjustment (JR TRX) high positions but does not work. Any other recommenndations on how to set this up? Thanks in advance, 3DJunk |

What muffler are you using? Some canisters or pipes will have a flat spot around the mid range. Try and keep the servo travel % even in each direction. I set my throttle linkage up with the TX stick in the middle and the carb butterfly half open. Then I fine tune it from there with travel % and linkage adjustments. This should get it pretty close. As for needle setting your low needle should be approx 1 1/2, and the high 1 7/8.

Sounds like you need to set up a throttle curve in the TX. What TX are you using? Also try resetting the butterfly as decribed above to be half open at half stick.

Hi there thanks for the answers. I have set the throttle like you wrote when carb is in the middle, stick is in the middle too. I use a JR 9X similar to 9303. My muffler is a Pitts style by JTEC. I may have to try some expo on throttle, has anyone done it with this TRX? Thanks, |
