Default DA050 Bolt Sizes

I am heading to the store in the morning to buy metric hex wrenches for my DA050. The prop bolts seem to be a number 4. What size hex wrench fits the head bolts and muffler bolts, is it a 4.4? Nothing in their manual about correct size or on their web site. I will be at the store before DA is open, otherwise I would just call DA.

4mm hex fits the prop, carb mount, muffler, and cylinder base bolts.

The only reason I wanted to confirm the size for the muffler bolts and cylinder base bolts (for mounting muffler bracket) is that the 4mm fits really tight in the prop bolts but there is play in the cylinder and muffler bolts. Is that normal? I did not want to strip them out by using a hex wrench that was 1 size to small.

Thanks.

Is it a brand new 50? If not, it could be that the prop bolts have been replaced, and could possibly even be 10-32 bolts. You should never have to touch the cylinder bolts, and I never have, so I don't know how those feel, but my hex fits pretty nicely into both the muff bolts and prop bolts of my engines.

The Pitts slimline muffler comes with a bracket than requires removing a cylinder bolt. The DA050 is 1 year old but never used.

I think the fit is better on the prop bolt heads cause the bolts are high grade steel, vs. the aluminum carb and cyl base bolts. All are 4mm hex.

Also you might try grinding the hex wrench you are using down to a fresh part of the hex, as they usually wear and round over time.
