Default EQ10 in flight issues

Hey guys,

I was flying my 35% Sukhoi on the weekend and on my first flight I experienced some glitches. I landed straight away and pulled the canopy off to check the data logger, and to my suprise all the channel lights on the PE where flashing like it has gone into the calibrate all mode. But the function and channel dials are both still on 0 (run mode). I checked the data logger anyway and it was all clear. I then turn off the plane and TX, and then powered the Tx and plane back up. All lights where steady and everything seemed normal. Flicked to high rates and wiggle everything for a miniute and still all good.

I decided to fly it again and within a miniute of so of flying I lost elevator input during a half cuban (luckily I was headed up not down) A few seconds later it came back on but seemed very soft and lazy. I landed straight away and as I flared I noticed only one elevator half working.

I pulled the canopy again and the lights on the PE were flashing again. Still only one elevator half working, the affected servo still had power but no signal. Check the logger again and still all good. Turn the plane off again then back on and all is good again.

I am still unable to reproduce the fault on the ground, only thing I have not done is run the motor and see if it is vibration related. I am running a DA85 so vibration is higer than normal but not excessive. PE is mounted as per the instructions.

Has anyone else seen this type of thing before?

Cheers

Rusty

Hi,
I have never seen an issue like this but something is obviously wrong. Send your mailing address and phone number to Info@Smart-Fly.com and I will send you a replacement. I would appreciate it if you could send your unit back to me, standard airmail would be fine. Sorry for the inconvenience.

What more could a customer ask for with a company replacement offer such as this. Hope this solves your problem Rusty.

Great job Bob.

He's not making an exception in this case. This is how Robert treats all his customers - with trust and respect...
I would definitely check for other items that might be affected by vibration as well, though.

Exactly. I have dealt with Robert in the past and he puts out a fine product. I was just saying that you can't go wrong when a Manufacturer follows online threads and helps to resolve his products possible problem so quickly. His offer sounded good to me. Again.....Great job Robert.

Very strange. What type of batts are you running and are you using switches or the SF failsafe?

Even though your RX is showing good I'd send it in for a checkup anyway JIC>

My batts are the Booma RC 2700mAh LiFe (A123) X2, Switch is the Smart Fly slider failsafe switch.
