My sincerest apologies for not getting back into this thread for a while but work is interferring with my toy airplanes pretty badly at the moment and seeing as that pays the bills I better pay it some attention.

The units fitted into an AM 35% 260 and has flown twice. I will kick some butt and get some more shots of it.

So far like everything Robert has built its freakin unbeleivable. This one is a keeper. No more matchboxes on JR servos or Futabas. 8.4 volts direct to the HITEC 5955 servos. Man thats like 400 oz a servo at that sort of voltage. That means less servos, less weight. No switches, no regs. It cuts down dollars big time and ounces as well.

So far this is by far my favourite offering from the Smart-Fly stable, well the ignition kill is pretty good as well come to think of it.

robert had some delays in the component supply and expects the stuff to arrive by the 8th or so - then assmbly - so i believe by the end of december - you can obviously check with Smartfly personally - but as we are also waiting for some the info is accurate.

ok update - had a chat to robert on the big R- things are running late so we should not expect the EQ10 before early Jan 07 - ok with me!!!

I saw Bob today. He thought he would have the first couple prodution units this week to test. After they are tested he will give the go ahead to finish production.

I thought it was bad to run the 5955's higher than 6V. Are they being rated for higher voltage now?

Smokey quite a few guys are running them on li ion/lipo(7/8v) and no negative feed back yet!!! - I am waiting for a EQ10 and will do the same - hope its gona be ok!!
