Hey can it regulate voltage to servos, I wanna have 7.2v to the servos all the time with a batt that charge spikes from 8.4 volts and used to 7.4v Consistency is very important to me for IMAC. If not is there a reg unit that plugs into this thing. The current smart fly reg is 5.2-6.5v max output, I want 7.2v

No, Hitec hasnt recommended using anything over 6v for thier operation. Some guys are just choosing to give them a try that way. Although it seems to be working for them, im not sure if I would try it, I have seen too many brushed motors burn up due to too much juice.

That means i have to buy a regulator if i want to use servos other than hitecs. Not so good.

i agree with smokey, this wont be oh so great for guys who dont use the hitec digitals, a built in reg would be nice, and prob not to hard to engineer, but would take even more time, and raise costs.

This unit was never intended to be a voltage regulator. This unit will allow you to match 32 servos on 10 different channels. They make a turbo regulator to go with the EQ 10.

Turbo regs and Equalizer 10 sounds like a good setup for my next plane.

How many of us really need to match 32 servos on 10 different channels? Most of us have 2 or 3 servos per aileron and 1 or 2 per elevator. If your using hitecs servos, which this unit seems to be designed for. You probably have or have access to a programmer. I thought we had the ultimate setup with the EQ10. But im not so sure anymore. Might as well just get the expander pro and a regulator and use the hitec programmer to set up the servos. Comes out cheaper. I'm not trying to bash Smart-fly. I own several of their products and love them. I just think this unit is not meant for a broad range of users. Time to get off my pedestal.
