I have seen one recommended several times made by Pyramid. I also know a few guys using one purchased from Radio Shack.

I have a Pyramid PS-14 power supply that works fine. The only way I have been able to charge at the field is by hooking up to my van battery with the engine running. Dennis |

My Ion does not work when the batteries to charged are connected to the Ion before power is applied to the Ion. If I apply 12v power to the Ion when no batteries are connected, It has worked fine. Is there a chance you plane batteries were connected before the 12v got connected? | ||||||||||||||||||

Well I re-tried my Cube with 2 different power supplies and a car battery. It will not charge more than 1 battery at a time. ( I know it used to when I first got it). I've contacted Fromeco and will be sending it in. For now I'll go back to my Triton until the problem is resolved. |

I'm in the same situation...three cells charge painstakingly slow! Start off strong at the set amps I put in to the brain...than quickly die off. After extensive research, I decided the Pyramid power supply was the way to go. Radio shack has a 15 amp model, but read the reviews on their website.....13 reviews and 10 say it's a piece of crap! Thats good enough for me NOT to buy that Radio Shack model. Pyramid should be here in 5 days. I'll post my results.

Scooter...I decided to go the Pyramid route like you and I ordered one today as a matter of fact. Looking forward to using it. I got my Ion Cube from TBM also but I have not used mine yet.....hope it works okay. Keith |

From what I've been reading, the Ion Cube is one great charger. Been using it for my park fliers, it just takes forever to charge up! Just re-did all my power wires to the unit directly from the battery and draining a pack to test as I'm typing. we'll see if that helps! Ordered my Pyramid ps this morning....$90 something delivered...not too bad I guess.

i built one of mike's computer ps and it puts out 12.3 volts at 20 amps and my cube still slows down to a .5 amp crawl when charging 3 cell packs
