Default Fromeco Batteries

I have had problems with my small Fromeco Batteries. I believe they are either 2600 or 2200. But a few years ago I had one go bad in my Dalton and just this year I had two to go bad in my Yak. One I am unsure of. It will charge up full but I check it after a flight and it is down to like 4.8V. I check my reg what it was regulating to and it was 6V but it was just holding up at the highest Voltage the battery could put out. The other battery was my fault due to I bunch the switch on and left the switch on for 2 days And that battery is totally bad. I havnt had any problems with the bigger 5200mah batteries. Very happy with them. It just gets expensive with these smaller ones going bad left and right!!!

Hi Kevin,

One of the great things about batteries is they do exactly what you tell them too. They generally don't go bad, however there things enviromentally that can affect them and there performance.

We need for you to give us a call Mon-Wed. so we can talk about what is going on with your set up that is causing you to eat up 2600's. If they are actually 2400/2200's they are starting to get old, especially if they are 2200's.

Are you using our charger?

KC

thanks for the fast response!
Yes I am using a fromeco charger. I need to check what number they are. I will gather up some info and give you guys a call tomorrow when I have the time. Thanks for the help. It is probably just my setup. I will admit I did mess up one battery leaving the switch one for a couple of days. The other battery dropping from 8 to 5.0 v is the battery i am curious about.

I am running one 5200 in a QQ Yak going into a smart-fly reg. It regulates it down to 6v. This is plug directly into the FASST 8 channel rx. I bought the 5200 to replace the 2400 or 2600 (not sure which one it is. gotta check) It went bad i believe because I left it on for couple of days on accident.
The other battery is either a 2400 or 2600. I bought these back last June I believe it was. This battery is plug into a MPI reg regulated at 6 v. Yesterday it was a full charge and read around 8 and after one flight it was down to 5.2. The other 5200 was fully charged and drop down to 7.9.
