DC UP & SmartFly

got the DC UP today and connect it to the SmarFly EQ 6, to an empty servo port, the manual is saying that when you need to turn off the plane, first turn the plane and then play a little with the sticks to drain out all power from the capacitors.
But when i do that nothing happens, a friend that have a Power Box did it the same method and it works, here it doesn't.
I tried to connect it directly to the RX but again it doesn't work when i shot the power off.
It seems that the DC UP don't realise the volts it has inside it.
To emphasize:
When i connect the DC UP to the SF or the RX i do see the volts that enter the capacitors on the volt display the DC UP has.

Do i need to conect it to some other port or this is how it work?
