I have a couple of questions about the balancer. Are there any instruction sheets, explanations or wiring options for the balancer? I have a Hyperion charger with a JST board, but the connectors on my balancer are not like the JST on the Hyperion. The website says the balancers come with JST like used with FMA products. How can I determine what connector I have? The connector has 3 blue wires and, a black and a red. Is this configuration for a single 2S pack? How do the balancers work? Thanks Bob

Hi Bob, Other than wiring color they are the same. What you need to do is either clip at the connector or (mychoice) de-pin 2 of the wires. The wires that you are going to remove is the 2 that are closest to the red wire. The sequence should look like this for FMA Black Blue blank blank Red. Can you go here and tell me which adapter you have? http://www.atsrcplanes.com/Hyperion%...0harnesses.htm |

Thanks for the reply. It looks like I have the HP-LB10-XH-B What designation of JST do you/FMA use? Sorry, not sure what they are the same as when you say, "Other than wiring color they are the same" Once again, are there any instructions or wiring diagrams on your balancers? I'm not sure how to wire a 2 cell pack since there are 5 wires? What is the theory behind the balancer? Does it blink and limit the voltage of the cell that reaches high voltage until the other(s) catch up? Someone at the field said he thought it charges first, then balances on the way down. If I'm thinking right, the balancer shown in the picture would attach to a battery pack balance connector, and the normal power plug from the battery would go to a charger such as your cube, which I use. Sorry for any confusion, and thanks for any help. Bob

Since this unit is a two cell balancer, wouldn't a 2S2P pack actually need two balancers? Otherwise, the balancer is treating each two cells in series as a single cell, correct? Just asking because I had some packs updated, and my two cell pack has a single balancer, and my 2S2P packs have a single balancer. Thanks for any help Bob
