Well guys, I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. Great to catch up with the guys and check out how much everyone is improving in their flying skills. We couldn't have asked for better weather on the Saturday. Some may be wondering what happened to me on the Sunday. Basically, unfamiliar gravel road + loss of traction + lack of driver skill = bang. Looks like the Mazda will be a write-off. I'm fine however. Massive thanks to the guys who sacrificed their morning of flying to help me out, I owe more than a couple of 12 packs - make sure I'm held to it. Chances are good that I will still make it to the nationals, There are less gravel roads up there anyway ![]() I got a few questions about the EPP foamie that I was flying, I will post the plans as soon as I get back to my laptop in Invercargill, I'm currently home in Timaru with the folks. Theres probably a nickname somewhere in all of this. Sarge. Last edited by SargeNZ; 12-17-2007 at 03:37 AM. |

Thanks to all those guys that travelled from far and wide to attend over the weekend, it was a great success. Hope everyone enjoyed it and the weather was certainly fantastic. Big Thanks once again to Jason from Model Airworks and Robert from Smart-Fly who helped us out with some fantastic prizes, seemed like most people took something away which was good to see. Yes Sarge your absence was noted on Sunday morning after your attempt at becoming the next Possum Bourne!! Good thing you walked away unharmed and it wasn't on Saturday night. As you say I am sure a good nick name will come out of it! We will be updating this forum and www.nzrcaa.co.nz with results and pics over the next few days. Cheers, 1CAN |

Thanks for the good words guys, It makes it all worth while. Hopefully this acts as a bit of a boost of motivation for next years aerobatics competitions - The more entries we get throughout the year means the more prizes will that be up for grabs! Dunedin is a great location, it is central enough for the chch and the invercargill guys and the weather is always great this time of year. If anyone has any suggestions about how we can improve things for next year we would love to hear them. Keep up the good flying! |
