The muffler I see for the sundowner-evo35gt combo is this number at horizon BIS05615.

This just appeared today and identifies it as a race muffler for sundowner.

Availability is listed as 8/17. That's cutting it close.

We saw Mike McConnville fly one with the 35GT...It was 120-125mph. A good speed for that size of model.

Mike had a stock 35GT with a 15x12 apc pattern prop. The muffler was the prototype of the one that will be available from Horizon specifically made for the EVO35 and the Sundowner.

I just saw one at my local field yesterday. It was smaller than what I was expecting, but it still looked good. The owner was flying it with a OS 160 and it did not look fast with that engine.

He may not have it propped right, that 160 should really turn a 15 x 12 or 13.

Hi...
Would a ZDZ Super 80 be plum ridiculous or just overpowered?
I mean would it shake it apart?
I can handle a overpowered plane but I don't want it to tear it apart either.
Reason... I just need something that's in the air quickly.
Any comments?
Cheers,

The ZDZ would be waaaaayyyy too big. The Evo 35 is already on the edge for being too large/heavy.

Thanks KMac...
I have still to see the Sundowner but was hoping it would be something to get in the air quickly. I feel the need for speed.
I'll probably buy a Jack Devine R4 Firecracker and build it over the winter unless I can find something else. I'm tired of the aerobatic stuff as they all look the same after a while.
Cheers,
Lyle
