Hope there is still some interest from some of you guys to go racing with the Sundowner this year. The last two events on the USRA schedule ( www.usrainfo.org ) will offer the Sundowner class...that's Ohio in August, and Arizona/California in October.

Here are the very PRELIMINARY rules so far...we are still trying to nail down the muffler, but we'll keep you posted...
KMAC,

Great work! This airplane and rules package could be the "shot in the arm" that the sport needs to reach more pilots and let them know first hand how fun it really is. I have a few guys in my area who are even talking about joining in!

Thanks Robert...

They're just a first crack at it, and are basically a rewrite on the Dominator rules. I'd appreciate any suggestions you might have, just send them to my email addy.

Thanks

KMac

Tom K,

There was supposed to be a custom muffler for the 35 in the Sundowner, but it's looking like it will be the stock Bisson, or possibly a custom Bisson. We want to get a db reading on the version that Mikey Mac was flying. Stay tuned...

My brother got his last week from our LHS. He used to fly a full size cassutt, when
he saw the sundowner he had to have it. Now that it will be a race class, that makes it even more interesting. Anyone know if it will be raced in Fl. ?

I have been waiting for this. I am looking forward to racing next year. They just need to have an all white version.

Hey all, newbie balsafire here.
I've got this one under construction. On the scheme thing, badbradgraphics is about to come out with a package to help make them a bit more diverse. It will be a basic package where you can choose your number, colors, radio and engine(several different versions of EVO) and you can customize from there. I've sent Brad the templates from my plane and he should be cutting soon. I'll try to post some pics of our first drafts. BTW for you parker racers, dibs on #26
Any word yet on the muff?

Happy flyin' all
Rod

Here's the latest from Pete Bergstrom on the muffler...this is a copy and paste from RCU and usrainfo.org

Guys,

We have been working with Bisson mufflers to manufacture a replacement for the muffler we had hoped to produce. Jim is working on the details, has them in production and should have units built very shortly. The part number is BIS05660R for the race version 35GT muffler. Horizon will have this number active on 7/7/07 for backorder.

Thanks for the patience.
