Ok, lets talk about how to adjust an xxx engine. GD&R

Not many people have actually cut the fuselage and remounted things to figure out how to fix it. Nowadays, you dial in some kind of mix in the radio to fix it. In the old pattern days, they cut and moved things. If you had a pattern plane that rolled with rudder, you would saw through the top of the wing and re-glass it with different dihedral.

I've heard that the anhedral stab idea, that originated with Hanno Prettener, came about because he had a plane that pitched down with rudder. (I think the Curare was the first?) It was easy to cut the stab and glue it back to the same spot, but angled down some. It worked. At least that is the story I heard.

For years, everyone had anhedral stab pattern planes, because Hanno won the world champs with an anhedral stab plane.

He say's Yak 55, because the engine shaft, wings, and stabs are all on the same horizontal line, which makes everything smooth and no coupling..
