Arrow Can I add length to the motor mount?

Hello everyone,

I recently planted my Mini Edge into the ground and am just finished rebuilding it. The plane was tail heavy in the last incarnation and I was just wondering if I could add a half inch or so to the motor mount to bring the CG forward a bit. The cowling was totally destroyed in the crash so I'll be making a new one, I can extend it a bit to match the motor. Has anyone tried extending the motor forward a bit? I'm just not sure how critical the position of the prop is in relation to the rest of the plane. Hopefully someone knows all about this stuff... Thanks in advance. Peace.

Bob

I have the Rx and the Lipo as far forward as possible. With the lipo all the way forward I could get the CG to the minimum recommended position, good for 3D but not for a first flight . Untill I get used to the plane I would like to get it to a more Pattern type setup. Did I mention that I crashed the plane on the first flight? Lol.
