Help! Extra 260 tilt to the side

Hi Guys
I've got an extra 260 (Hangar9) 27%. The airplane flies fantastic apart from one thing I don't like. If I pull to much on the elevator the plain tilts to the side, it rolls out of the path it sould go. But I'd like the airplane stay horizontal and push over both wings.
My suspicion:
  1. stal, loss of stream, flow separation
  2. to much elevator for proper flying
However, for 3D I need the whole throw. From vertical flight by the us of extreme Elevator throw, the plane should go to a vertical position.
Do I just have to move the CG more to the back or what???

Thanks
Tom

Here are a couple of things to check. Lateral balance. Lift the plane by the prop and rudder, if one wing tip drops every time, it is heavy. Add weight to the other wing tip. There are some very good threads on trimming you plane on the site. Just do a thread search on trimming.

The other possibility is that your elevator halves are not moving the same distance. Tape a piece of carbon fiber rod, or popsicle stick to each rudder half and have the tips just about touching. Slowly work the elevator through the entire range of travel and insure that they are moving together.

This is just a couple of ideas but might get you started, on finding the problem.

Excellent advice, also coming from an owner of 2 of these. I had a Yak that was snapping or rolling out under elevator conditions. It turned out to be that one reacted faster. Their travels were the same, but one would just get to full extension sooner. After looking closer, I had missed a hole on one servo arm! What I did was put it in the wrong hole on accident. Then, I set the travels the same once everything was connected. It should have dawned on me why one servo required a lot more electrical adjustment. Anyway, I made the linkages the same and all was well... Just a thought, check the linkages.

Another thing to consider is that you may have to much elevator travel even when you get the geometry correct and the speeds of the ele halfs correct you can still get the wing drop syndrome from too much ele at to high a speed AKA high speed stall.

I set my low rate ele buy flying more than 3/4 speed and pulling the ele stick fully if a wing drops i lower the rate and retest until i can do a an almost full loop at almost full power so far this is the magic bean for my wing dropping woo's.
