Well, my plane is not fabric covered. It's a carbon fiber wing, wood sheet fuse and tail all covered in glass.
So, we started woth 180 grit on a sander and went from there! Finished up with 400 grit. Took it right down to the original primer. Weight is a major factor, but most important is keeping the control surfaces balanced. Too much paint will mess that all up.
The CAP is all put back together and looking good, all be it VERY YELLOW! We used a base/clear and wet sanded and buffed after. Once I get home I'll get some pix posted and then again once the Embry-Riddle logos are all done.
