looks just like a biplane turbo raven to me.....in other words, AWESOME!

im pretty certain the turbo raven can pull out of the hover, so this wont be the first, and ive seen loads of full size do "3D" (walls, rolling harriers, harriers, inverted harriers), but this one does look a lot lot nicer than the rest ive seen, maybe as it has two wings two wings do look good yes

I believe the Turbo Raven had the power to do so, but due to the gear case oil issue, Wayne never tried it. I could be wrong though.

On the Toucan web site they say it's the first biplane to hover, but I believe the Kinball's Pitts Python did that a few months ago. Though it didn't pull out vertically it did hovered without loss of altitude none-the-less.

Well it looks like Quique. They are doing something similar to the Great planes Chapman thing. They will be producing models in several sizes under an exclusive license and flying at airshows!

In a harrier that thing would billow smoke out of both exhausts like a nuke with the turbine heat. It would be AWESOME!!!!
The day a full scale pilot can do a inverted harrier down fairly low with smoke will be awesome.

Should be a vertical beast! I saw the Turbo Raven pull off some torque rolls and then pull straight out vertical. I remember Wayne saying something that his VSI said 4,000 fpm out of the hover. I think the VSI was totally confused

We have just completed the aircraft reassembly after relocation to Hollister. The aircraft is completely ready for first flight. After 400 straight days of work, Team Toucan is taking a vacation! First flight is scheduled for April 30th if the weather gods are kind. We’ll keep everyone posted.
