yes on the complex rating, but not high performance...a high proformance aircraft as one with an engine with more than 200 hp...

The engines on the DA-42 are only 135 hp each

I cant wait to start flying these things!

I'll have to agree that the FADEC does present some issues with training prop and mixture controls for constant speed props, but I just got word from the head of the flight department that all multi private studets will be starting their multi training in the Seminol and moving up to the DA42 later in the course. This is a great idea IMHO

Hey 3D Freak, is Chris Brown still teaching down there? He used to teach at Lewis University back in the early '90s when I went there. Those planes are pretty neat looking. I did my multi in a Duchess, very easy airplane to fly. I'm spoiled now with our 340. Good luck on your multi.

Not sure what he was teaching. He was supposed to go down there to run something in the flight dept. That was back in the early '90's, so he might have moved on since then. He is pretty cool though, I beat him in a game of pool at a sports bar and we were betting on grades. Guess who got an "A" that semester

Good luck with the Twinstar, looks like a nice flying plane.
