I took those with my BlackJack camera that is built into the phone... Was better than nothing. The place that is 1 hour from here that has ridge soaring has 2 ASK 21's They primarily use a Blanik L-13 for training I think...

From what I have read, the German's overall were better WWII pilots because of their soaring ability... they fly gliders there when they are 13 years old or so... That's what the history channel and the books I have read talk about.... They have some spectacular soaring in the Alps....

It's not as bad as 1:15, is it? We like it cause it has a little more drag than the fibreglass ships and therefore it's a little easier for the student to stay on top of the airspeed.

![]() I also did my licence with the (Belgian) Air Cadets when I was 16 years old. After 32 flights on ASK-13, I was ready for my first two solo flights.

about the hole more drag for students to slow it down i hated that crap!!! we had a grob that i knew i could fly much better then the old bergfalke,, just by the fact it was faster, and less input was needed to keep it steady.. i wont go back to glider tell i have access to mordern ship.. mike
