Dammit. So sad to hear. He pulled on that Pitts like nothing I have ever seen. I had the privilege of seeing the Masters of Disaster act a few years ago. Totally mind blowing.

See post #1 and then Ziv's pics later on in the thread. I'm still torn about this.......

Silvanskii, I'll try to find some pics of us hanging with Bulldog tomorrow..... Your comment about the buffet got me to laugh, bro!!! I thought he said at -7.4 he had some buffet and then backed off a little...............

Jim LeRoy was an AWESOME airshow pilot, and will be missed greatly!!!!!!!!!! So much for me going to the show tomorrow................

Kitman!!! New design on my bipe!!! I'm going Bulldog, man!!!!!!!!!! Not quiet a Pitts, but a killer bipe, none the less!!!!!!

Terry,

If you wouldn't mind sending me a copy of the vid. Jim and I lived fairly near each other and got to talk from time to time. He practiced next to one of the area rc fields and it was quite a show when he was home.

One of the best aerobatic bipe flyers of all time. Many will miss him, and those that had the opportunity to meet him will miss him even more. Truly a sad day.

I have never seen Jim Leroy fly live but I have watched the videos. He pushed the limit.

I see someone mentioned the helicopter crash. We had channel 3 and channel 15 news choppers mid air yesterday. No survivors.

A really bad week for aviators with the P-51s at Oshkosh, the news choppers in Phoenix and now Jim Leroy, one of our heros. As Forrest said we saw the trajedy first hand. I still can't beleive it. I think young Forrest is still kinda shook up as he went to bed at 7:30 tonight. Pretty unusual for a teenager. God be with you Jim, and your family as well.

It's been such a tragic week in full scale aviation. We all need to take a minute and reflect on everything, it kind of makes you realize how lucky we all are to have what we have, yet how fragile life can be. My heart goes out to all the families and friends who have lost their loved ones this week, god bless them all.

Dang, I think the Dalton might go on the waiting list. A memorial plane maybe.

I debated whether or not to put this up, but I'm sure it will be all over the internet and news already.
