No dispute there, I personally don't believe their's any reason for them to be on here, plenty of places to go see them elsewhere, if that's what you're into.

Let's put this into realistic perspective...we're watching someone die...is that what this site should cater to?

Thats Right, the point is were all in one sense or another pilots, I happen to dabble in both full Scale and RC. And though were all nuts we have Morales and Standards and at heart were all Gentleman, that show one another Respect.
Jim Leroy and his Family risked it all and gave all for our entertainment, the least we can do is give them there privacy at this terrible hour.

You are absolutely correct, they should have their privacy, no doubt about that. My main point is, if there has been a death in an accident, our usual way of approaching the horrific situation has been not to show the pics or vids, it has been to memorialize them.

There will be a memorial thread soon, hopefully no one will post pics or vids of the accident.

Again...my opinion.

This is very sad. I remember seeing him fly a few years ago and being completely blown away.

I had the pleasure of knowing Jim and flying several airshows with him.
To say the least, he was a dynamic pilot and very good person. I know a lot
of Flying Giants folks admired Jim for his full scale 3-D airshows and if
anyone would like to help his son, I'm sure it would be appreciated. News
release follows.
Thanks,
Fred Johnson

NEWS RELEASE:
Friends Encourage Donations To Family Of Air Show Pilot Jim LeRoy
Fri, 10 Aug '07

Contributions Will Go Into Scholarship Fund For Performer's Son
Aero-News has learned friends and colleagues of air show performer Jim LeRoy
are encouraging air show fans, pilots and aviation enthusiasts to make a
contribution of any size to the scholarship fund recently established to
benefit Jim's four-year old son, Tommy.

As ANN reported, LeRoy was lost during a July 28 performance at the Vectren
Dayton Air Show in Ohio, when his modified "Bulldog" Pitts biplane impacted
the runway in a flat attitude at the bottom of a loop, during a performance
of the two-ship "Code Name Mary's Lamb" routine. Leroy was the last
surviving pilot of the "Masters of Disaster," an airshow act that combined
three performers, two jet trucks and pyrotechnics.

International Council of Air Shows president John Cudahy says Air Show Hall
of Famer Wayne Handley went through a similar tragedy in 1994... when his
adult son Ryan was killed in an aviation accident. A college fund in the
name of Handley's grandson was established.

Although most of the contributions were in the $50-$100 range, the fund
received donations of more than $30,000. That fund has grown to more than
$70,000 in the 13 years since the accident and will soon reach its goal of
$90,000 before Brennen Handley starts college in a couple of years.

"Jim devoted his life to air shows and air show entertainment," Cudahy tells
ANN. "It would be a wonderful tribute to all that he did to entertain air
show audiences if the aviation community could return the favor with a
contribution to this fund."

Air show fans and aviation enthusiasts are urged to send their contributions
to: Jim LeRoy, Jr. Memorial Fund, c/o Harris Bank, 110 East Irving Park
Road, Roselle, IL 60172, phone 630-980-2700.

............................ so did you really need to post these pictures to make your point?

I understand where you might be able to acquire more peoples' protest by this to aid in your desire to have this news group remove the picture in question, but in the meantime it looks to me like you really are going about it in an equally distasteful way.

Best way to disarm the media is not to be a part of it to begin with.

I think the videos are important......they can help those who do fly full scale what may have went wrong.

Of course this site is not the place for that. I personally watched both crashes to see what I could learn. Always sad to say........Warnings in checklists are written in blood.
