Default FAA Wings program and BFR

Just felt like shouting!! I had two years off of full scale flying due to family illness. I lost my medical variance for type II diabetes because of timing etc., but, I put my nose down, lost about 45 pounds, got my medical variance back, passed the medical and went for my Biennial Flight Review, which I passed!! Flying is without a doubt one of the most fulfilling things I've ever done and it feels great to be back in the left seat as PIC!! I was so inspired at having regained my currency that I went on to pursuit of the FAA Wings program and completed phase one last week.
Now, I know it sounds like I'm just mouthing off about meself, but, my motivation in telling the readers of this thread all this stuff is that, anything really, really worth doing that gives you fullfillment, and personal pride and confidence is WORTH THE EFFORT. Dont just give in. You can get back up in the air with determination, and it is a real hoot to do so!!

Illigitimi non-carborundum!!!

Regards,
Brian

FixedWing172,
I am flying mostly Cessna 172s, but, I am checked out in PA28s and I have a complex rating in an Arrow III. I was halfway through instrument when I stopped to take care of my wife, so, I will most likely pick back up with that after I get some VFR time built up. Like my CFI said when I got my license, "Now you have a license to learn".
Thanks for the kind words guys!

Brian
