I agree sadly.. I mean with the tech of a 14 G hit or more, send out direct signals or something. You'd think we'd have a device capable of withstanding BlackBox style impacts, yet still be able to transmit too.... very sad. Steve was a real innovator.

This week they have a jet coming in to photograph the places they think he may have gone down. The resolution from these photos is 6 inches to a pixel as opposed to 1 meter (39 inches) from the Sat photos.

Using software that detects reflections, color, straight lines etc they hope to find something.

They have stopped looking in the lakes after side scanning sonar picked up nothing.

Heck I mean they can pick a missile being fired any where in the world within seconds these days yet they cant find a crashed plane that they had radar tracking information on. It just does not sound right at all. I hope they find something soon as the longer it goes without anything solid the more the speculation will grow.

My only doubt in the whole saga is that he was supposedly looking for a place to go for a new land speed record when he was flying over some of the most rugged and desolate mountain country in the USA.

That just does not make sense and nor is it even logical.

My friend fly's a heli here in the bay.. His company sent him on the search.. He was out there for a while.. He said the terrain is such that it would be hard to find anything.. Probably why they are finding other planes out there that they never knew about.. My condolences to those who know him..
