Pitviper,
Hey the new LSA stuff coming out is very cool for sure. I had a chance to fly in a CT LSA about three months ago before it was crashed by pilot error. All i can say is way cool they fly like kites if you pull the throttle back and they will out perform a 150 if you flog'em. They are a ton cheaper than a 172 as well good luck with falling off the wagon.
Fellow flyaholic.

Ultralights are very cool, and a ton of fun, especially if you have a couple guys. Problem with them is they're all single seaters, the Light Sport stuff is a great alternative to that.

Friend of mine has a Lazair III, he's kind enough to let me fly it which I do whenever possible. Really a blast. Has a pair of Rotax 185cc singles, would be great with DA150's, smoother and maybe a little more power.

Craig.

One thing I would recommend if getting into the Ultralight scene is always flying with a ballistic chute. Very good (life) insurance.

The Lazair is neat because it has full three axis controls, and glides really well. Is barely more than a powered glider. Tough to find these days, but we're well past the ultralight boom of the 80's.

I'll be out at the airport this week will try to get some pics if the new one is there. it was imported from somewhere will try to find the link for you as well. the CT i flew was a FlightDesigns CT search for flightdesigns. Pretty cool plane lands funny though very flat almost no flare just bring it in at 35kts and keep in level flight till you touch down. The little Rotax on the front screams compared to an IO360 4,500rpm cruise. Full glass panel pretty weird flying a sport plane that has more glass than most modern planes.
