He does have kids. Two of them. And a wife.
One of the best pilots I know and the reason I placed 3rd in the world in 98' He is very talented and gifted as a teacher.

He did that move at the ACAP Series competiton. (yes, I needed to take a deep breath before saying it...ACAP) It was cool, but not as risky as you may think.

The sad news is, he lost his plane in a crash this summer while flying to PA to see me. Ended up in the woods, up-side-down...on fire...stuck in the plane. It burned for 3 or 4 minutes before he could get out. He is okay, some burns and broken bones, but he is back up and running fine. Not so that nice SU-31.

Planes can be replaced. People can;t be. I thank God Sergei is still with us. I wish I could say that about some of the 65 + people I have known of the past 25years that were not as lucky.

Next time you stuff in a model.... and think how much life sux....think of this story...

Hello Matt,
Thanks for sharing the story with us. I cant help but ask if you also knew Jim leroy in person. What did you think about him.
I saw several youtube videos of Jim leroy doing sustained high alpha harrier for about 30 seconds. He also did torque roll for about 10 seconds. I thought those were great.
Of course I've seen lots of your great videos too!!

Wisnu
