Default First B2 Stealth Crash

This was posted on a Company BB, thought you guys might find it interesting. Both pilots ejected safely.

Looks like they yanked it off the ground too early, and over rotated.

I don't think they yanked it off too soon............ I find the probable glitch caused by moisture a big stretch unless something was going wrong in the cockpit and the pilots peed in their pants causing the suspected "moisture!!" If you look at the ailevators and spoilers, they were flapping in the breeze and going nuts just before the impact. Something was telling them to flap like that........... With all the training these guys get in preparing them to fly a 1.4 billion dollar bird, I'd think at this stage of their careers they wouldn't even think of "horsing one off the ground!" I wasn't there so I'm speculating based on the video.

I like this excuse better: The pilots were chasing the Hooters Girls around the cockpit and one of the girls got her shortie shorts caught on the yoke. All punched out safely and the girls were hidden in the silk of the chutes until darkness. At that point they slipped off the base undetected and they lived happily ever after! The end.

I would bet you are close in that it was a computer problem. I would bet that the computer would in fact prevent the pliot from doing what happened. It just looks to me like a flight control issue. Those black planes get pretty hot. Maybe the receiver overheated.

Keep in mind that the control surfaces have to make about 2000 corrections a minute to keep this plane in level flight. No vertical stab. A little moisture in the wrong place could sure throw a wack into even triple redundant systems.

2.4 low voltage glitch.. no im betting if the computer was wacked then the pilots would have only some control,,, thus the downside of fly-by -wire only systems... computer crash plane fall down go boom.. manual controls,, who needs a computer go stick and rudder on that beast! good that the pilots got out, to bad about the loss of the b2.. its a dangerous work and they know it..
