Default New Aerobat

Been looking at this little guy for over a month now, so a partner and I decided to go pick her up Friday evening and bring it home. Stressed for 6+ and 3-, it's capable of "gentlemen's aerobatics." Took about 4hrs. aerobatic training in one of these 20 years ago, and the energy management was a fun aspect. The plane was owned by lt. Col. Bill Crump, who used to fly the "Miss America" P-51. Those in the Pacific NorthWest might recognize it from a few years back. Even has a smoke system!

Very COOL! I think I seen it fly at Arlinton EAA Fly in few years Back?

Our model ARF airplanes are built and covered by skilled craftsman using laser cut balsa and light ply. Included are hand laid up fiberglass parts that are painted in matching vibrant colors and then clear coated for extra shine and protection. You get a top quality model for a fraction of the price and time that it would take to build from a kit. Many of the top builders now buy ARF's and comment on how well they are constructed. We often hear, "I have been building for years and I can't match that".

Brian,
Thanks for the link, I'll have to see if they come back in stock.
Yes, you probably saw Bill Crump fly this Aerobat at the Arlington EAA event, since he was from Washington State. He flew there for several years until he passed away just early last year. Would like a video of the show if you have any ideas where one might obtain a video?

Last time Bill Crump flew it at Arlington would have been the early 90's.

This is the day I've waited for since I layed eyes on this little jewel a month and a half ago on Barnstormers.com. I went to get my chutes re-packed last night and one tore under a stress test. Luckily we found some lighter chutes to go in our carriers, and off to the skies today. Loops, aileron rolls, and barrel rolls. Then worked on some combinations and some snaps. The power management(lack of) aspect definitely requires work throughout each maneuver, but makes it more interesting. Anyone can slam a stick to the right with an IO-540 up front!
