Seen him a few times. Nice guy too. Pulled his tail around and made room for our little Cherokee.

Jim LeRoy is here at our place as I type this. He practices and trains with the focus and dedicaiton of a Marine Sniper (which he was) harder than most people can imagine. He has been here a couple of days doing standard maintenance on the Bulldog. He has 2 shows remaining for this season here in FL.

Next year the world will get to see Bulldog II which we are building here in our shop right now. You think the current Bulldog is Bad Ass, wait until you see the new one! BTW, Bulldog I will still be flown by Jim but primarily overseas while BD II will be the North America mount.

Sorry but no sneak peaks yet. BD II will makes it's debut December 4-7 at the International Council of Airshows convention. After that, we will have photos and info about the airplane on our website as well as Jim's site.

I can tell you the following:

The airplane is based on a Pitts S2S just like Bulldog I.
Wings are a new design and first of this type.
Tail is a new design.
Lots of carbon fiber.
New paint scheme.
Even with all of this, it will be clear that this is Jim and Bulldog.

Pitts type biplanes have had SFG's sine 1948 and a few other biplanes before that. Also know as I-struts, these vertical surfaces are part of what helps Pitts knife edge better than monoplanes.

I know we are all looking forward to seeing it. I know I haven't heard of the new plane. So thanks for the heads up. Ask Jim, to drop into the Giants if he has a chance. I didn't get chance to talk to him and tell him how impressed I was with the show.

I thought that looked like Jabara! I was there! This year I flew an RC demo there and got Patty to sign on of my Katana Mini's wings.
