| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | The only thing worse than being second guessed when things go bad is being second guessed when things go good. The guy had the field made. The airport was aware of the emergency landing. The chances of needing to go around are almost zero. Sure there is always a chance. I would have feathered the props too.

| A fifth of Peter. ![]() | Definitely a very good job, if you have to land gear up, that's the way to do it. Feather those props, and set it down as gently as possible, maybe you'll save the engines. What I wonder is, what's the deductible on something like that? If I have a gear up on my B58 Baron, the deductible is 10k, as opposed to 1k for any other occurrence. I should call my ins company and check, surely the 10k wouldn't apply in a situation like that, only if I forgot to put it down.

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | Dido on the feather the props deal.... Believe it or not, it was actually rolling during that landing. The gear doesn't completely suck up on a King Air. The wheels stick out a little bit. I don't have any pics/video for this one, but last week there was a P-51 that had to belly in a few hours south of Memphis. The story goes that the pilot knew he had a problem, so he pulled the gear back up, and stuck it in a farmers field. The soft field kept from grinding the bottom of the plane away. Last I heard it got the prop, air scoop, and some minor skin damage.

| Straight Hucker ![]() | Very good job. I'm guessing two prop changes, some landing gear work and a belly re-skin and she'd be good to go again. Great job, very smooth.

| Prop Bender Extraordinaire ![]() | Here's some pics of a mustang that crashed not too far from my home last week. I'm only guessing, but I believe it will need a little more work than described above. Then again, maybe a little duct tape and bailing wire, and all will be right with the world again... ![]() ![]() ![]() BTW, the pilot walked away w/ a few minor scratches. He was on the upwind after completing a T&G. The motor (which had just barely been installed) quit, he was able to get it restarted once, and then it quit again. Put it down in the median of the interstate, because he wasn't high enough to turn back to the airport.

| Prop Bender Extraordinaire ![]() | If you look closely at the 2nd pic, there are a couple of fellows standing in front of the wreckage. The one in the green flightsuit was the pilot. Truly...one of the luckiest guys on the planet, as this was not his first.
