The motor cage comes with the EP version of the plane and fits perfectly with the Hacker a50 motor. I bolted the motor cage to the firewall and left the adjustment as it came from the factory. To install the motor, the fan must be removed, and the prop adapter bolted in its place. Then the motor bolts right up to the mounting cage.

I picked up this great planes 2 1/4" spinner with lightened backplate. This fits perfectly to the cowl, but has to be drilled to fit the hacker prop adapter.

To get the cowl lined up properly, I put spinner and prop on and tightened them up by hand. Then, as you can see in the pictures, I taped the cowl to the spinner so that the gap and the alignment was right. I then lined up the stripes on the side of the fuse and taped the sides. I drilled two holes on each side to hold the cowl and used allen head servo screws to hold the cowl on.

The manual calls for one hole through the wheel pants with a bolt holding the whole assembly on. I dont like the idea of compressing the wheel pant so I set it up like the larger planes. I ran the bolt from the backside of the LG, and put two stop nuts on the other side. I then drilled two holes to clear a #2 button head self tapping screw. I installed a small piece of ply wood inside the wheel pant and drilled holes for the screws to hold the pant onto the LG.

I was planning either on checkers (3 big ones) or invasion stripes.

I cut this cooling hole in the bottom of the fuse just ahead of the tailwheel. This should provide a good air exit for the air flowing over the battery and speed control. This also gave me good access to add glue to the stab.

Here is the tailwheel setup. The manual recommends the anchor point be 40mm behind the hinge line. If the anchor were secured here, the control wire for the tailwheel would put a huge twisting force on the anchor. I moved the anchor back as far as possible to minimize this problem.

I couldnt wait to put some graphics on. I did the tops of the wings with the tribal flame and Edge decals. I added (per casey's suggestion) two invasion stripes to the bottom of the wing to add some contrast to the bottom. The wings are held on with two rubber bands hooked to the wing panels. The hooks simply screw into the ply wood. Also, the anti rotation dowel must be glued in. This was done with thick CA.
