Dont open it up just jumper it at the cable ends, resistor across one molex conector red to black. then green to black on the MB conector short it out. Then if the psu is faulty you can return it under waranty. Once open or cut a cable no waranty

well, my buddies works! which means i must have a bad one. grrrr.also i have never got a bad PS before so i already cut my wires! grrr again! i am not sure what's wrong with it but i don't think the whole thing is shot. i think it is something in the remote turn on circutry. anyone got any ideas?

Not that I am starting a anti resistor movement but I am just curious would a pilot "on" lamp serve as a suitable load for start up? Or for that matter a cooling fan?

Mike I just finished mine, worked just great. I hooked up my fromco 4 port,using 3 2400 lipo batts,my quad charger from smart charge,4 1000 mil nimh,and my triton,with a 2400 mil minmh, all charged and no smoke!! Great job SIR. Sent ya a pm

Ok I played by the rules and used the correct resistor it gets a little warm but not in the fan path. It works but it doesn't seem to need the switch. Works on or off! Is it because its is a genuinie "El Cheapo" 350 ATX power supply that perhaps doesn't work like a better one? Does the switch need to be in the resistor circuit? Is it worth going any further since it seems to work ok? Thanks for the idea and great instructions! |

Man...those kinds of posts make that whole build all worth while. I didn't think it would start such a craze. Awesome guys! Loving the pics. Keep posting pics of your setup! Robby, That sucks about your PS. I wish I could help out more. I'll let you know how mine works out. I'll put up pics of mine when I'm done with it.
