I just went through the whole build but I'm having the same problem that rcpilot82 had. When I switch the power on the LED's and fans turn on for a split second then stop. Did I get a bad one too? If I did I'm screwed, I already cut up the wires.

Your power supply may have the "remote sensing" wire. http://web2.murraystate.edu/andy.bat...SIGN_GUIDE.HTM

Thanks Bob for the link. I checked all the wires and here's what I get; No yellow w/ black stripe wire (only yellow w/green wire) No brown wire. All the orange wires are the same gauge in fact ALL the wires are the same gauge comming out of the +3.3V, +12V, +5V and the ground. BTW this unit was manufactured 10/06 |

Come to think of it, the last one I did had a remote sense wire that was orange! You need to look at the main connector, pin 11. If it has 2 wires going into the connnector, that is the pair that you will have to wire up together. On my power supply connector, both of those wires were orange, one large and one small. I just soldered them together. http://www.marcee.org/Articles/PCPowerSupply.htm - see the pinout of the main connector at the end of this web page. If you had 2 wires in pinout #11 and you cut off the harness, you will have to find them on the PS and solder them together. Also read up on info regarding PS-ON. - Bob

Mike, I built my PS Friday night - I want to thank you again for the build thread! ![]() OK, With the fan on full blast it produces 11.90 V - with the fans dialed all the way down - 12.09 V I haven't tried this yet, but will I have problems charging a 11.4V LiPo using my Triton2 charger? I'm thinking about using less R or disabling one of the fans to increase the V a bit - what do you think? Is this PS capable of 13 or even 14 Volts? My Triton2 can take up to 15 V. T J |

I think the Triton will be fine, TJ...give it a shot and let us know. We might be able to figure out a way to run the 3V line in series with the 12V and get 15V, but the 12V should be fine. Try it and let us know what happens. I was getting 12.52 out of mine with the fans ablazing...
