Here is about what I can charge at a time on mine.

TP-10 Charger @ 4.5 amp
Fromeco Charger @ 2 amp per pack, 3 packs at a time for 6 amps
Hobbico Charger @ 2 amp per pack, 2 packs at a time for 4 amps

Total = 14.5 amps

I could not do this without the additional fan as it would go into Protection Fault. I picked up mine for about $45. Shop around online and you can find some good deals on them.

My first PS conversion I used a PS with a clear plastic case like Mike. I had a problem getting it to work, untill someone posted about connecting the brown sensing wire to an orange wire. After that, it worked perfectly.
My next attempt was using an old PS with a metal case and I couldn't get it to work at all. I kept going over all the connections and every thing seemed right on. After many hours of head scratching and frustration I realized that the binding posts were grounding out on the metal case as they passed through it, so I enlarged the holes in the case. I then needed something to insulate the threaded metal posts as they passed through the case. What I did was to strip off a tiny bit of the silicon insulation off a piece of 14 gauge noodle wire and slip it over the post of the binding post. This insulated the part of the post that was comming in contact with the metal case of the PS and everything worked as it should. Since then I've made 3 more PS's and never looked back. One other thing that I 've done to increase the standing voltage of PS from the low 12's to just under 13 volts was to wire (2) 1 ohm 10 W resistors in series instead of using (1) 10 ohm 10 W resistor. A word of caution though, they get pretty hot so make sure you put them by the fan to cool them down.

Well here is my experience. Wired the green and black wires together, plugged in the power cord and the fan came on and stayed on. just under 12 volts on the output of the yellow wires. Added a nice plastic project box from radio shack to the side to hold the 4 sets of banana posts, an on and off switch with a red power light. No sandbar installed. Hooked up my TP1010c charger with a 4500ma lipo battery, Polly charge 4 with a 800ma and a 910ma battery, and radio quick charger all at once and seemed to charge with no problems! The only problem is the same as a few others where hooking up a charger after it is turned on, the power supply turns off. If all chargers are hooked up and than PS turned on, all works OK until you take a charger off. Sounds like another sensor wire by reading all posts. Just not sure about all the technical terms, etc. Works great, just inconvenient if all chargers are not connected. Which wires to connect? Any help would be great.
Any one use this PS?


Power supply is a NMB Model # MJPC-270A1
It is out of a Sony Vaio desktop

Rated at +12v 15a max (yellow wires) with a DC output total of 268.9 watts max

Should do the job fine, 1010c charger max is 10a output total, not sure of others. Any thoughts?

Well my PS and the 2 other ones I built are still working flawlessly! took it up to the JR Indoor fest. and went nuts with 3 chargers all going at the same time on her. this has been one of the best projects i have done for my rc stuff!! here is a pic from the hotel at the Jr fest. yeah you have to remember to plug all the chargers in first but other than that, can't beat em!!

I figured out how to fix that. Add two 1000uf Capacitors in parallel with the 12v rail. Works great!!

Not sure what you mean by the 12v rail? Can you show a picture or explain? What direction do the caps go? Sorry, my computer knowledge is limited.
