Hey Mike if you haven't already cut those wires go ahead and do it to this one. I can make a plug out of something like a 48" Extension to get power to the receiver.

All computer PS make 5 volts... Just use the RED (edited) wires... and the black.. Most of the power used by computers is at 5 volts.. !! Do what he says.. and you will have 12 volts and 5 volts Last edited by EddieWeeks; 02-01-2007 at 02:16 PM. |

Yellow and Black = 12V Red and Black = 5V I already cut off the 5V wires. It's the same concept as the 12V system. I'll do another one soon. Anyone want me to do one for 'em?

Have you actually tested the maximum load from this power supply ? I found that they usually fall very short of the specs on the 12Volts. My chargers are often crapping out once you hit 80 Watts or so.

Paffy what are the specs on your power supply? The one I went with is very large and should not have any problems with what I am going to throw at it. Mine can handle 432 watts on the one 12 volt output.
