I just wrecked my showtime 4d electric today Lets just say metal fences win all the time.......and u can't fly threw them. Sad thing was this was during a demo.

Anyways,

SargeNZ was right about the batteries listen to him. Also, 2480 packs were only used for demos. They were the right size battery that I only used for demos.

How would this plane be with a Saito 100. I have asked this question before, but since you guy's actualy fly this plane I would like to know. I have the Saito on a P-51 I fly on occassion. So I can barrow it from time to time.

I think after Black Bird's comments there are just a few things to check before flying the model for the first time.

A: Check the wing for warping or twist (which would require the aileron trim BB described) and remove that with a heat-gun

B: Perhaps look into some right thrust changes. Fly it once or twice and do the vertical upline at full power and check it stays straight up, if it drifts left you might want to increase the right thrust.

Best of Luck

the saito 100 does ok in it
i dont know what your elevation is but we have to tune it to peak and were running 30% heli at 2200 feet? something like that
and thats just for a decent pullout
in the winter
it wont hover worth a damn in the summer though
id consider a 120 or a 125 instead
the saito will do it
but not that well

I have a ST that I run a AXI 4130 (1800 Watts) with a 10s 3200 and 10s 3700 Lipos.

I like the 3700 better as the 3200 starts to run out of gas after about 5 minutes.

I run a 16 X 8 and is a shade over 9 lbs.

how on earth did you get it to be that light?
were getting the 4000mah and were looking at 10 to 11 lbs
not to mention a 20x10 prop

That is alot of prop for such a small plane. Tell the pilot to strap in tight, it's going to be a fast ride.

Mine liked to flutter at high airspeeds, i.e. 99mph. Make sure not to cut corners on your servos.

Hey we own a showtime. I had a evolution 1.00nx in it. The plane came out really light. I think it came out to light to tell you the truth. It would always get blow around by the wind when it wasnt even that bad out. I would say close to 7 1/2 or 8 pound. Then engine cut off oneday in a crosswind about 20 feet up and it just floped over into the ground. It went in nose first. So we rebuilt the from and now are running a spe 25cc gasser on the front. I have to say it is a little beast now. I think the plane is better as a heavy plane for compared to the setup I had before. I know its harder to make a heavy plane look like its flying light. But hey Thats part of the fun. Just my 2 cents.

I have set up the showtime as electric also.
Motor - http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=4572
Speedy - FRom United hobbies also 100 amp
Batteries - HXT D9 G2 4100mAh 5S 15-25C Lipoly
- HXT D9 G2 4100mah 6S 15C-25C Lipo
Prop - Standard APC electric 17 x 12

Flight time 9 minutes, on the 5S the plane is will hover but at almost full throttle, with 6S the plane hovers at half throttle and punches out. The plane is quite heavy and bites in a lot of manouvers but is OK when you get used to it. Will probable look at the 3D harrier next to carry all the electrics and improve the wing loading. I just want a 3D plane and had a harrier once before for 14 seconds but thats another story.
