Yeah I've been really busy lately. I'm not sure what the weathers doing down there at the bottom of the island, but its been nasty up here. Nothing but rain/slush/snow. Not only that but I dont have anywhere to fly the new plane from yet, the runway isnt even close to being ready.

The control surfaces are hinged, just need to put the servos in. I still need to install the electronics and some decals but other than that shes all ready to go. I'll post a pic once I get the girl all together, hopefully I'll have time this week. Taker easy...

Weahter down here suuuuucks too. Was hoping on this weekend to maiden a new mustang and a 27% cap Ive had in the works for a while. I guess by the look of the reports, the weather still won't be in our favour until late next week.

Later

On a positive note. I convinced my wife not to hassel me when it comes to investing my evenings to getting a few of these planes ready to go. It's been great. We are expecting a new little baby girl here any day, so now is my chance before the sleepless nights are back.

Good for you Mark. My wife says to me this morning as I was cleaning my plane mess off the kitchen table, "I wonder if theres a website dedicated to wifes with plane nerd husbands" LOL. She was just kidding though, shes great really. I said to her "I wonder if theres a website dedicated to husbands that have left their wives". Haha... She didnt think it was as funny as I did! Congrats on the new baby. I hope that all goes well for your wife and you dont have to spend too much time in that damn room! Man I hated every minute of that experience right up untill my kids came out. The stress is unbearable, thank god for perscription drugs. Anyway, off to watch the fight. Peace.

Trust me dude , for the longest time I asked my wife if I was like the biggest nerd with this flying thing and all. It is so not what I am used to doing. I mean this hobby sort of thing. Anyways she just encouraged me and asked if I enjoyed it. Rest is history. Lots of cool guys loving the same thing. It's just alot of fr@#$%ken fun . I have always been into the shiny things. The only problem is that I am getting out fishing less and less. Problem is that as soon as I put the plane in the air it is an instant adreniline rush. No more waitng for fish to strike. It's so easy to get instant gratification. Now if I could only figure a way to have these planes build themselves.

Yep , I have some crazy days ahead. My wife is freaken out . This one is already double in size what my son was. He was a month early.

Off to the fights eh. Diego Sanchez vs. Matt hughes. That would be a good one.
UFC .

Arrow Re: SA Edge 540

OMG bro, that is a sweet covering job. I love those planes too. GOOD LUCK! I would have to wear some Depends diapers if I was maidening it.

I have been very busy working lately, not a bad thing. Ive got to pay down my Visa after last months spending spree I'm still getting out every morning if possible with my Airfoilz Yak and burning up a few Lipos. Wind, rain, snow, nothing can stop me! I've nosed it in a few times this month, shes looking a little worse for wear. No biggie, thats what cheap foamies are for anyway.

I did my first tail touch last week, since then I've done a hundred more or so. I was, and still am, pretty stoked about that. I got a new version of AFPD with a connector for my Futaba Tx and my 3D'ing skills doubled in a week, best purchase I've made lately.

The Stevens Edge is all ready to go now, just waiting for some better weather and my runway to grow in. Probably wont maiden it for a few months, I still havent maidened my Mountain models Mini Flash. I think I'll do that this weekend if I can get it finished. I still need to do the decals etc on the Edge as well.

Hows the wife holding out Mark? Hope everything is going good. Hopefully youll be able to make your way up here sometime this summer. We have a huge party here every summer, for our clients and family. 150 to 200 people last year. I mow about 5 acres of field beside the river and everyone brings tents and campers. We get a good band with a stage, couple pig roasts and a big corn on the cob kettle. Its a good time. I only drink 5 or 6 times a year so I tend to get a little out of control. Maybe you can come up for that one, I'll keep ya posted. Good luck with the Cap, let us know how you make out. Peace.

Bob

Bob man, sounds like a good time up there . What river you on? I get up that way every Sept 11-16. The Eve is a special place that time of year for us . HMMMM, beer , meat, wilderness, and maybe a big a@#$ landing strip that you are going to carve out ( right?????) Maybe a couple buddies and I can come up with some big planes. Who knows. Don't want to put the pressure on or anything LOLOL.

Post some pics of your new bird. Want to see how she turned out.

Later,

Mark

PS here is a pic of the new Edge I am going to start putting together. Course time is going to be a little tight for the next couple of weeks. My wife just gave birth to our new little girl. Actually she was born on April 7 at 12: 10 am. Her name is Kelsey.

Thanks for asking how they are doing. Busy days ahead! My 3 year old boy is not totally convinced but he is definitely coming around. I caught him singing to her this morning while she was crying for mommy. Makes you feel things you never thought possible!

Yo budz, long time no see. How the hell are ya? I've had a crazy busy summer. All work no play. Just wondering how the Edge turned out. Really nice covering job btw. I've been flying my Magpie around every other day but thats about it. The field is grown out right now so there is nowhere to land with wheels. Hows the new baby treating ya? lol.. Handfull I bet, been there doing that!

Our big year end party is on the 18th of Aug. Next Saturday. Your invited to come if you can make it. We mow down 5 acres and everyone camps on the property. Tents, campers, motorhomes, whatever. Two bands this year, pig roast, yada yada. You get the picture. If youve got any electrics to fly bring them. We've got the cows in the field right now so we cant fly wet engines. It scares them and I dont feel like fixing any fences right now! Lol.. Anyway, let me know if your coming. Yak at ya later. Peace.

Bob
