Great to hear of your success on the maiden Ronnie. I've never really figured out where the CG is on mine. I cut the back end of the battery opening so my 2100's fit, and called it macaroni, never bothered to check the CG. Yeah, ain't EPP great. Now you can take your plane lower than you ever have before with a balsa plane, knowing that even if it goes in, you can have it "Gooped" and ready to fly the next day. One thing I should mention; if you used the toothpicks to pin the supplied phenolic firewall to the fuselage, even if you glued a piece of ply over it, glue a small piece of ply to the front of the battery cut out. The reason for this is; in a nose in crash the battery naturally gets slammed forward from the G's, and those toothpicks act like tiny spears that want to puncture the end of your lipo. Don't ask me how I know lol. Good luck dude, and enjoy your Uzi. |

All I can say is THIS PLANE ROCKS!!!! Trimmed it out today and man does this thing have fun written all over it. Elevators are so slow and sweet just like the video. Is there a bigger battery that would give me more flight time? I am using the TP extreme 2070 now. Two packs just is not enough, lol This plane is just too fun to fly. It is the perfect balance between foamie and balsa IMO. Thanks for the review FG!!! |

Flat spins are too fun with the UZI. You can sit there and burn a whole pack doing that, lol The rudder is super powerful. Think I am going to order another one and have it built ready to go,lol |

Well since I am no plane builder by any means... There are some things I could do better a second time around but no major mods. I would only use the goop and 5 minute epoxy the next time...except for gluing in the CF, that I would still use the CA. I put CA on the flying wires and they worked loose after a few bumps...ok more like crashes, lol Stick with the goop and epoxy and it will be strong and light. The hacker and TP combo is unreal in power, I love over powered planes and this one lives up to the hype. The elevator is a little flexable and I might try to add some CF tape or something on # 2 uzi to stiffen it up a bit. Your going to love it and thanks again heydick for the help and info on my build |

I did a build thread a while back on EZone. I would recommend replacing the carbon support rods from the center of the fuse to the wing with an EPP block. I glued a few layers together and then used the belt sander to make a rounded front. The only other mod I prefer is two servos for the ailerons. One servo is not enough considering they have to fight the EPP hinge. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...&highlight=uzi |

I put one of these together this Spring (Flys Great!) took longer then a 33% Aero-works and Hanger 9 35% Extra combined! I must of spent 50-60 hours on the damn thing, directions were translanted and the provided prints was the only savor. Did I say it flew great? it really does. | ||||||||||||||||||

Anyone using an axi 2808/20? Its for 26.5 ounce 3d. Weights about 30 grams less than axi 2814/20 and about the same with the hacker 30. How is the balance coming out with the hacker 30 are you having to add weight to the tail and how much? |
