Sweet video Doc!! ![]() I have had great success running the Airboss Elite 80 ESC and Torque Revolution 4014/570 in my 55" Extra 300 SHP. Terrific combination and as Scott said it makes it just like a plug-n-play setup. Tim | ||||||||||||||||||

I can't speak for the EF Extra as I have not flown one. I'm sure that will be a great flyer as well. Comparing the numbers, it will be 3" wider, at least 1/2 lb heavier, and has about 40 squares more on the wing. You can't go wrong with either. The power system, I think is the nex gen power system for all 40-60 size conversions. You should be able to comfortably run plane in the 6 lbs range with still great power I didn't wattmetered my setup with the 14x8, but it should pull around 60 for about 1100 watts. I think 15x6 or 15x7 is a better choice, which will give your between 1200-1300 watts on the tap... INSANE power .I personally like the XOAR better than the APC, as it's quieter... and wood looks great also . Some say it 3D / hovers better, though I haven't found too much difference with it .The motor is designed around 4S and 5S. 6S would be a bit too much for it IMHO. He guys I received one of these beauties from Scott over at MotroflyUSA yesterday. Just like the picture Scott posted in the SHP SR thread the motor shaft has a very unique threaded shaft that looks pretty darn solid. I have the motor in my 55" SHP (for now) and will be putting it in something special very soon (of course my 55" SHP is pretty special too). Also for those of you that might be using this as a replacement motor Scott confirmed for me today that the nut behind the aluminum backplate is not needed if your prop is sticking out to far away from the front of your cowl (as was in my case on the SHP). Here are some WOT readings that I was able to get using my well used MaxAmps 5s 4000mah packs. APC 15 x 6E Amps = 71A Watts = 1221W (OH YEAH!!! ) APC 14 x 7E Amps = 67A Watts = 1146W Xoar 14 x 7 Amps = 62A Watts = 1085W I am going to try and get a few more Xoar props to run on this setup and see how it does. I think a Xoar 15 x 7 or 15 x 8 would absolutely make this setup BALLASTIC!! Tim |

| AWESOME!!! I'd say that pretty much sums up how today went flying my 55" SHP on the new Motrofly 3625-650 motor. The Motrofly motor performed flawlessly and it ran super, super smooth on the 3 flights that I was able to put on the motor. I was flying today with the APC 15 x 6E prop and with this setup the power was just about off the charts. After the first flight I decided to really test the new motor. So what's the best way to do that? You full throttle everything (or at least that's what I do). Not only is this a good test for the motor but it also is a good test for airframes. I flew some full throttle blenders, walls, parachutes, snaps (wicked, wicked) knife edge spins, heart attacks, aneurisms, and both the motor and yes my SHP withstood the abuse. Such fun!! I flew each flight for 9 mins. and everytime I came down the motor was cool to the touch. Of course it was only 45 degrees outside but from all indications it should run as cool as my Torque Revolutions do. Here is what I think is the best part. Not only did this new Motrofly 3625 motors fly the heck out of my 55" SHP the new motor is also slightly lighter than the TR 4014-570 and is able to produce equivalent power levels as the TR. TR 4014-570 = 9.8 oz. retail price $129.99 Motrofly 3625 = 9.0 oz. retail price $95.95 Both are able to produce between 1400W-1500W. I'm pretty excited about getting out and putting some additional flights on the new Motrofly motor. I really think that this is going to be a great power setup for for any .40-.60 sized electric airplane. As Scott had pointed out earlier he also has the new Motrofly 3625-800 which will be a terrific setup for anyone thinking about running a 4s setup. Tim |

The reason I ask is that I can't seem to get the axle to fit in the wheel pant, unless I force it to the point where it might break the fiberglass. My wheelpant looks similar to your second picture, I don't see how you could have fit the axle in. Hopefully I am missing something obvious. Thanks Malcolm | ||||||||||||||||||
