I got my GP Cap 580 33% few weeks ago. My second girl Sienna was born 10 days ago, so the process of building it will be slower. I have elevators hinged and servos installed. Now I am working on main wings. There is realy not that much to put together. I am going with Hacker A150 .I hope to order the motor with SC combo soon.Setup is heavier then Neu 2215 setup, but I like the outrunners. Also it will be easier to balance the plane. I didn't order rudder servors yet. It will depend where the CG will end up. There is 3 options for rudder servos install. Either giant scale inside the fuse or outside the fuse with either 2 o 4 standard size servos depend on torque. Motor will swing either 26x12 or 27x12 on 12S2P-8000. Motor can go up to 14S. SC is Master JETI SPIN-200. I played with numbers in the Motocalc, the motor should be powerhouse for total weight of the Cap around 28.75 lbs. Has anyone had the chance to use this system? It would be nice to get some feedback. (Cap looks strange with no ailerons on the pictures) |

kp647, I am not sure which standoffs I wil use. I need to measure prop distance soon as I get the Hacker. I would like to go with DA standoffs if they have the wright length, if not Horizon Hobby sells nice standoffs for theirs Evolution gassers. From the pictures I saw on the Yak 54 Leseberg was Flying with Hacker A150, it looks identical to Evolution standoffs. But I could be wrong. Worst scenario I make my own. |

I got everything hinged but the rudder. I did put the plane together to see what it looks like. Holy $%#*&%$, this thing is huge. I am used to 25-27% airplanes, but this thing is a monster. I will have to change my diapers after first flight .This is so far the nicest plane I ever owned. I called Hacker today and they should start to sell them by end of the month. They say they are waiting for SC's. It will be sold only as package with speed controller. Now I need to get the funds to pay for it. My left kidney is for sale, anyone interesting ??. Just kidding.

Congratulations on the baby girl!! I got a pair of them in January and they are sure a handful. Definitely cut into airplane time, but well worth it. Very interesting project. Best of luck with it. It will be neat to see how well it flies electrocuted. |

are you going 12s or 14s on batteries, and do you already have them? yet? it might be best to go 14s evene thought it will cost a bit more and might require 3 packs to fly (2 5s packs and a 4s pack) or 2 6s packs and a 2s pack) unless you can deal with charging 7s packs Kevin |

3D, I have been flying this motor since Jan 07 for hacker. I would say I have about 100 flights on the motor. I can tell you its awesome!!!! At first we were running 12s2p 9600mah packs on a 27x12 prop. We then went to a 29x12 prop for a lot more power. The final setup we have chose was 14s2p 9600 mah on a 27x12 prop. We are pushing almost 9600watts. I can assure you though that this setup is bullet proof and works great!!!! Andrew

When I was flying 3d I was able to get about 6 minutes of flight time. When I ran though some sequences I think upwards of 8 minutes would be do able. Andrew

kp647 I will go with 14S, even though some guys are using 15S. I can't afford to gamble so it will be for sure 14S2P-8000. 2x5S2P-8000 and 1x4S2P-8000 total 6 packs (4x5cells 2x4cells). Total weight 72 oz. Animal Jesky Thanks for the info on the Hacker A150 and the flight times. I can't wait to fly it. This is my biggest airplane so far. Are you Andrew Jesky with that awesome Extra 330 electric bird? Reason why I am asking. My brother-in-law just bought one. I think it is 55" 46-50 oz. Good job on that Extra. Very nice bird. dubd According to Andrew around 6-8 min. Depend on flying style. Cracky and Nerdyflyer Thanks for the nice respond and wishing me good luck.
