Well I did have an unfair advantage. I was the Wing Historian for Ellsworth AFB for several years. LOL

There is all kinds of things wrong with the info on the pic, the "D" model B-36 was not even conceived until 1949, yet it says 1944.
I just like the paint job.

Have to share a story about some e-mails I keep getting.
There are 2-3 guys that keep e-mailing me saying that they keep telling the AMA they should be doing a story about my project, or that they have e-mailed MA telling them. As I do appreciate their efforts I do want to give my 2-cents. I like my project getting attention, and especially if it gives people motivation, or sparks interest in young modelers. But I feel the reason these entities are not looking to hard at this project is that the web is full of giant model aircraft projects that started and then just died. I know of a few huge great projects that just have never gotten finished and never flew, I know of 2 B-36 projects that have stalled. Carl B is the only one I know that has finished a really BIG B-36. I am not a TOP gun guy with a name that anyone has heard off, or a master builder by name, so as far as they are concerned they have no idea how many projects I have started that never got finished. My 1919 is the only project that I shelved, it was due to a vibration problem with my WAY to big 3W150. But it will get a nice electric power plant when the 36 is done. This B-36D will fly, and it will get done, but I am more concerned about getting her done right, than being in any model magazine. I have actually traded a few e-mails with a editor of a huge full scale magazine talking about writing a story about my love of aviation, and getting kids involved in the dream of flying, and then my my B-36, not just the B-36.

Thanks all for letting me ramble.

This question may have already been asked and then answered 5 billion times.

But any chance we will see this at Joe Nall in 2010?

I really hope I can have it there, but have a bunch to get done, and with work being so heavy now I just dont know, if everything goes as planned I hope to start test flying in late March early April. But even if it is not 100% test flown I amy bring it anyway.

Thanks, DAG
